Education and Experience

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and went on to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology. My journey in this field took me to the Detroit Psychiatric Institute, where I completed my internship in Clinical Psychology.

In 2013, I earned my certification in Adult and Child psychoanalysis, which has enriched my work with individuals and families across all ages. My practice in Chicago is marked by a strong commitment to working with children, adolescents, adults and families, allowing me to connect with clients in diverse and meaningful ways.

I am also a passionate educator, teaching a variety of classes at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute, where I am on faculty. My courses include Child, Adolescent, and Adult Case Conferences, Psychoanalytic Writing, Clinical Process and Technique, Child and Adolescent Case Conferences and a focused exploration of Adolescence. I have held leadership roles, including Dean of the Education Department, Director of the Psychotherapy Program and Chair of the Training Analyst Committee, which reflect my dedication to fostering growth and learning. I am also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I teach a class on psychodynamic psychotherapy to residents .

As I continue my work, I remain committed to helping children, adolescents and adults maneuver the struggles of life and to teach and train the next generation of therapists.
